I have a wealth of experience in helping event organisers attract and maintain dialogue with delegates before, during and after an event.

After taking a detailed brief, I can tailor a proposal to support you with:

1) Researching the target audience (and their use of social media)

This includes creating a ‘persona’ of the target audience and the characteristics which will lead to finding ‘where they play’ online and how I might best communicate with them.

2) Advanced Search

Having a clear understanding of the target audience, I can now ‘deep dive’ into finding exactly where they are amongst the social media channels. This requires the use of advanced search tools whereby I will search against the criteria/profiles agreed and provide a basic report outlining the opportunities available. This includes a count of the people I might be able to reach and what tools I can use to best reach them (e.g. LinkedIn Groups).

3)  Messaging

Now I’ve identified the target audience, I can create some messaging to reach-out. If via LinkedIn, this is likely to include messaging via common group membership and/or InMail.

4)  LinkedIn Groups

Often events can be supported by a dedicated LinkedIn group. On such occasions I can advise what groups already exist for this target audience, and/or define what ‘gap’ there is to be filled by creating a new group. I can also support the set up of a new group, advise how to promote the group to recruit new members, support a content plan for group discussions and provide best practice support for group management. I could also become a group manager to help oversee a group if required.
